Liza's pen and ink drawings are primarily figural--mostly women, animals, or a hybrid of the two--and darkly rendered in dense cross-hatching. She is influenced by Bellocq's photographs of Storyville prostitutes, Brassai's photos of Parisian streetwalkers and Jenny Saville's paintings of monumental nude women.

Liza Corbett works as an illustrator, artist and designer in NYC. She studied illustration at Syracuse University and painting at Studio Art Centers International in Florence.
